Designed for spray systems, filtration and chemical delivery, the series helps users meet pressure requirements with smaller, less expensive pumps while eliminating mechanical seal maintenance and seal leaks.

Based on the proven DB11/15 platform, the MSDB2 features two impellers and the MSDB3 features three. Each stage adds head, enabling higher heads at lower flows. The series delivers heads up to 306 feet (93.3 meters), flows from 1 to 69.8 gpm (0.23 to 15.9 m³/h) and maximum working pressure up to 135 psi (9.3 bar). Its flooded suction design requires a flooded inlet and is not self-priming.

Polypropylene/PPS or PVDF/PPS construction provides chemical resistance for corrosive fluid handling. Brown, 40% glass-filled R-4 Ryton polyphenylene sulfide (PPS) components provide the stiffness needed to prevent deflection that can cause rubbing. These components include the impellers, drive shaft, diffusers, middle housing and inner volute. Maximum operating temperatures are 180°F (82°C) for polypropylene/PPS construction and 220°F (104°C) for PVDF/PPS construction, with maximum viscosity capability exceeding 150 cP.

A high strength neodymium magnetic drive system handles fluids with specific gravities over 1.8\. Inner drive magnets are completely encapsulated in unfilled polypropylene or PVDF for protection from the pumped fluid. The Vapor Protection System adds O-rings to protect the outer drive magnet and motor face from corrosive vapors and fumes, while ISO 1940 G2.5 balancing supports smooth operation.

The compact, close-coupled design mounts to NEMA and IEC frame motors, with horizontal installation or vertical installation using an IEC motor. The Easy Set measurement-free outer drive simplifies motor installation. CE, UKCA and EAC certifications and a five-year warranty provide additional assurance for equipment specification and operation.

The MSDB Series serves chemical processing, plating, water and wastewater treatment, electronics, pharmaceutical and wet scrubber applications. Its multi-stage design supplies the additional head needed to move fluids through filtration equipment and chemical delivery systems.
