Granulation is a process in which primary powder particles adhere to each other, resulting in larger, multi-particle entities; ‘granules’. When performed without adding liquid binders, it is called dry granulation: the powder blend is compacted by applying a force, causing adhesion and size enlargement. The subsequent granules can be processed into tablets, capsules and powder in bottle/sachets.
